Fitness Goals

I remember the days where I absolutely DESPISED running.  HATED it.  It probably took me a good 15+ minutes to jog/walk a mile.  I was panting, red-faced, with lungs burning and legs aching.  Now - it's not so bad.  And I've improved my abilities where running is concerned by leaps and bounds.  So many of my fitness goals are going to include running. 

I've ran in a handful of 5k's now.  So one of my first goals is to run my 5k in a faster time.  The last one I ran, on July 28, 2012, took me approximately 39 minutes.  Perhaps I should start with improving just my mile goes nothing!

Short Term Fitness/Running Goals:
  • Improve 1 mile time to 10 minutes.  Currently, my mile time is about 11:30.
  • Run a 5k in 35 minutes or less.
  • Complete the Women's Health Intermediate Running Program for Weight Loss - this will get me to running for an hour straight!
  • Begin and complete Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred DVD for strength.
Long Term Fitness/Running Goals: 
  • Run a 10k - just RUN it! No goal time necessary.
  • Begin and complete the 2nd half of the Insanity DVD's.  I've successfully completed the first half more than once - those are like a cake-walk now.  The 2nd half is of these days....
